Hatch privacy policy
How Hatch Podcasting LLC collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit hatchvideo.com or get in touch with us.

Who we are
Hatch is a video agency. In this policy, "Hatch", "we" and "us" mean Hatch Podcasting LLC, 6605 Longshore Street, Suite 240 #231, Dublin, Ohio 43017-2774, United States.
This policy covers hatchvideo.com and how we handle personal information from visitors, prospects and people who contact us. It does not cover footage or files clients send us to edit. Each client's agreement with us covers that work.
We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions go to erik@hatchvideo.com.
What we collect

We get this information from you, from your browser when you allow cookies, and from LinkedIn and Google, which report how our ads performed.
We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health data. Please don't send it to us.

We don't sell your personal information for money. You don't have to give us any personal information, but we can't reply or book a call without your contact details. We don't use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similar effects on you.
Cookies and tracking
We use Ketch to ask for and record your cookie choices. In the UK and EU, analytics and advertising tools stay off until you opt in. In US states with privacy laws, you can opt out at any time.

To change your choices, use the privacy button in the bottom-right corner of any page.
Tracking across other sites. If you allow advertising cookies, LinkedIn and Google can collect information about your visits to our site and other sites over time. They use it to show you relevant ads, including ours.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is no agreed standard for browsers' Do Not Track setting, so we don't respond to it. We do honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers who help us run Hatch, and only what they need:
- Website hosting: Webflow.
- Consent management: Ketch.
- Call booking: Calendly.
- Analytics and advertising: Google and LinkedIn, only with your consent where it's required.
- Video hosting: YouTube and Vidzflow, for videos embedded on the site.
- Email and business tools we use to run the company, such as Google Workspace and Slack.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our team and providers work in several countries. If you're in the UK or EU, your information will be transferred to the US. Where the law requires it, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.
How long we keep it

We delete or anonymize information when these periods end.
Security
We use access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is completely secure. Tell us at erik@hatchvideo.com if you think something has gone wrong.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- See the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it.
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including for direct marketing.
- Send it to you or another company in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything done before you withdrew.
- Opt out of targeted advertising. Some US state laws count advertising cookies as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, and you can opt out of that too. Use the privacy button on any page.
Email erik@hatchvideo.com to use any of these rights. We may need to confirm your identity first. Someone can also make a request for you, if they can show you authorized them. We reply within one month, or within the time your local law sets. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
In the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In the EU, contact your local data protection authority. Please talk to us first, so we can try to fix it.
Children
Our site and services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and change the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we'll show a notice on the site.
